Run your own workshop with our free VETS UNITED course content.
In the past two years we have successfully run workshops on animal welfare and health topics for veterinary professionals and paraprofessionals as well as students in several countries. Now we decided to make our workshops material accessible to more people by making it available online.
We believe that spreading knowledge is the fundament for sustainably improving the lives of thousands of animals all over the world and look forward to many enthusiastic colleagues who want to organise their own workshops!
The free course content can for example be added as an animal welfare and health component to an existing curriculum in animal related education e.g. at agricultural colleges and veterinary faculties or as self-contained workshop for vets, vet nurses, paravets, staff of animal related NGOs.
The course content is designed to fit a wide range of people and countries so it should be used as a training base adapted according to the background and level of knowledge of the participants and the specific situation in the country.
The courses are categorised into three workshops. Workshop 1 and 2 give an overview of basic topics related to animal health and welfare. Workshop 3 is for vets and veterinary students. The workshop materials for download consists of lectures, instructions for practical exercises and films to run your own independent workshop.
